Erin (2, almost 3 years) was trying to use the cleaver today. Fortunately this is not one of those big heavy cleavers which you would first imagine, that would have taken her finger right off. Instead she used my small, light cleaver, to cut through a pear. I didn't know any of this until I heard the cries and Jadeen yelling that Erin was bleeding.
On her left hand, middle finger she had cut it, similar to when I cut mine (mine was the index finger though). Fortunately the bleeding was contained and it hasn't bled through the bandages we put on it.
Guess she really is mummy's girl, so much so that she has to do as I do! Let's just hope she doesn't take to beating up guy's for trophies, at least not just yet but possibly when she is older.
